CHARITY

More than just a tea company, Newby Teas is substantially owned by the N. Sethia Foundation, a UK-registered charitable foundation set up by Newby Teas’ chairman, Nirmal Sethia. The foundation supports various charitable projects in education, medical research, cultural activity, disaster relief and social empowerment - in the UK, India and other countries.

A number of projects in the UK health sector have received the support of the N. Sethia Foundation. The Chitra Sethia Centre for Robotics and Minimal Access Surgery at University College London is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to carry out minimally invasive surgeries, reducing post-operative pain and shortening recovery times.

The Chitra Sethia Autism Centre in Cambridge is another initiative of the foundation, providing support and advice to people suffering from autism and those caring for them.
